Ninja Scroll

I just finished watching Ninja Scroll the series. I will say it was a decent anime, but I would be out-right lying, and some might say out-right stupid, if i said it measured up to the movie. I mean, come on, the movie was awesome, Jubei vs. the Eight Devils of Kimon and the Shogun of the Dark. For me, Ninja Scroll the movie has really set the standard for all samurai/martial arts anime. That said, I'm kind of wondering if I was holding the series to a higher standard than I should.

Are there any other samurai/martial arts animes that anyone would recommend?
