[Akiba Fest]

Hi Guys, As you know We are Akiba Fest. Just so you know...

We
are an interactive concert show that focuses on activities surrounding
performances by Japanese entertainers. Though there is a merchants and
activity area, most of the focus is on stage where we present the
talents of Popular and up-and-coming Japanese Entertainers and at times
pull the audience in to experience and learn the latest trends moving
through the small portion of Tokyo, Japan known as Akihabara (Akiba for
short).

Akiba Fest puts on events designed to not just introduce
people to Japanese Pop Culture, but to have them experience first hand
new cultural phenomenons and trends moving through the J-pop and Otaku
world. Our goal is to celebrate the Japanese entertainer's presence in
the Japanese Pop Cultural wave that is hitting America while also
educating and exposing people to popular trends that emerge from the
streets of Japan's home base for Otaku: Akihabara.

Akiba Fest
had its successful start in December 2006 as an event venue for the
retail store Anime FX. The first US event of its kind, Akiba Fest
offered a night of on stage cosplay entertainment and 2 Concerts by two
J-pop artists.

In this tradition Akiba Fest sets out to continue
the trend of introducing America to trendy and noteworthy entertainers
while maintaining to usher in well known artists and groups. As we grow
we hope to present bigger and better shows that will continue to
incorporate the newest Japanese pop Cultural trends.

So come to enjoy not just concerts but to be entertained by a unique stage show that you yourself may just be a part of.

My name is Mari, and I am a TenBu Productions talent and representative, and your very own moderator for this forum! I am a very busy person, what with all of the hours I pour into working with TenBu at conventions and events such as Akiba Fest, but I enjoy what I do so much! Many people ask me how I got such a cool job and all I can say is, "I wish I knew!" ┐('～`；)┌

I find working with TenBu very agreeable as well. I am and actor and stage personality, love culture, language, art, and MUSIC! I get to work it all~! ヽ(´ー｀)ﾉ I'm so happy-!

I encourage everyone to ask questions about any of our events...or anything really! TenBu Productions is a host of very friendly employees that can answer all your questions or discuss anime, manga, music, culture, anything-! Of course, I love meeting new people and conversing as well, so I'll be around the forums a lot to jump into a discussion!

but really, i usually don't talk or say very much (I'm a very queit person), but i do DO a lot of stuff, like watching anime, playing games, making amv's (none of which I have ever uploaded due to I keep losing them before i get around to it or i don't finish them. )

I usually wear green goggles i bought from hot topic a few years ago. So i usually stick out a bit at events. yeah.... i can't think of anything else so i'll be done with this...

Hello I am Asu!

I am the creator of the Mangaka "Cove Pirate Mercenary" and Founding member of TenBu Productions and most recently began DJing an A-Pop DJ show every weekend on Otaku Life Radio as "DJ ASU". (I hope you guys listen in)
I have been watching Anime for to many years to count - let's put it this way- Brown wall paper was the trend when I started out.

I have also been in the Anime industry for over 15 years as a store owner and on and of guest at many conventions. I am deeply in love with Asian Pop entertainment but love the culture just as much. I just find that Entertainment is a welcome doorway into many cultures.

I hope you guys find this forum to be Fun and entertaining. I also hope that many of you attend Akiba Fest- We really want the event to grow so that we can bring in a wider variety of entertainers and make every J-Pop/ Rock fans dream to meet their favorite entertainer come true.
