I reshafted my taylormade r9 fairway wood 5 wood with the Aldila NVS (my first work for balance shaft installing) along with the club has transformed into an exceptional fairway wood. Your head configuration is ideal. The feel at impact is quite solid and clean. Great off of the tee and straightforward off of the turf. Not the best from the rough (not like my Hibore wood in the thick grass), but no biggy since i have primarily apply it the fairway and tee. Funny thing is I initially disliked this club. I even attempted to sell it off. Soon after range sessions and several rounds, I'm thrilled with my R9. This season alone I had created the 909f2, Cally X, XLS, FTi, and Burner, and also the R9 beats all of them.
